Feeling most at home when on the water, it’s little wonder how Justin ended up finding himself aboard a ship sailing to a place that he previously thought only existed in nature documentaries.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Justin grew up exploring the remote wilderness that British Columbia can offer - in any season! Whether hiking, surfing, skiing, camping or climbing, being out in the elements lights his fire.
Turning his passion into a career inspired a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Oceanography at the University of Victoria, where he found himself fascinated by the natural world in both its biotic and abiotic elements. Thinking over the “why” of things is usually what keeps Justin up at night, but subsequently keeps his eyes wide during the daylight hours.
Spending the majority of summers guiding off Vancouver Island’s West Coast, Justin has felt lucky to spend so much time in such spaces that can change peoples lives, and aims to share this appreciation with others. Taking a silent moment is sometimes all you need to truly see the world around you.
