Niki was born in England to ski instructor parents and raised between England and Andorra. She was educated in English, Spanish and Catalan and spent 8 years chasing winters around the world competing for Great Britain as a downhill ski racer.
Following this, Niki qualified as an Architect and spent several years working for charities and NGOs in Sierra Leone, Malawi and Cambodia. A lover of mountains, the outdoors and a keen hiker, runner and cyclist, she was fortunate to spend time exploring the lesser visited areas of these countries on bicycle and on foot.
Niki was drawn to the polar regions because of its awesome landscapes and unique wildlife.
